Celebration of Swami Vivekananda’s 158th Birth Anniversary at the Vedanta Society Berkeley
Swami Prasannatmananda, the Swami-In-Charge of the Vedanta Society Berkeley, performed a special worship to commemorate 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at the sanctuary of the Society on Sunday, January 19, 2020, at 3pm. Swami Vedananda, Assistant Minister of Vedanta Society of Northern California, San Francisco participated in the worship and chanted related portion from Vivekananda’s hymn. About 85 devotees attended the worship. Many volunteers helped in preparation for worship, cooking, serving prasad, and at the bookstall. Devotees offered flowers while repeating mantram and enjoyed sumptuous prasad after the worship.
